In order to accelerate the scientific and technological cooperation between Baird Medical and Xiamen Institute of Rare Earth Materials, Herwest Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, better allocate resources and give full play to the advantages of both sides in their respective fields. On December 26, 2019, the two sides officially established a scientific research cooperation platform to jointly research and develop the application of rare earth biomedicine in the field of microwave ablation. Baird Medical expects to continue to invest $20 million in research funding. This cooperation will play an important role in promoting the development of microwave ablation field for Baird Medical.
Xiamen Institute of Rare Earth Materials, Hercyan Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xiamen Municipal People's Government, Xiamen Tungsten Co., LTD., jointly built the internationally influential southern rare earth materials research and development center, the national first-class rare earth materials industrialization base. Exchange and training of professional talents; Baird Medical will hire personnel from Xiamen Institute of Rare Earth Materials, Herwest Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, as scientific and technological consultants to provide technical guidance to the enterprise.
"Research and Development of tumor accurate thermal ablation technology based on near-infrared second-zone rare earth nanoprobes" is the first project developed by Baird Medical after establishing a strategic cooperative relationship with Xiamen Institute of Rare Earth Materials, Herwest Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences. This project can realize the ablation range of tumor cells by developing rare earth nanoprobes with high near-infrared second-zone luminescence efficiency: inactivation degree and accurate imaging, further guiding tumor thermal ablation and achieving accurate tumor treatment.
